Abstract

The introduction of advanced satellite technologies has necessitated the development of new satellite operations centers and, likewise, new training facilities. This paper describes the design of a training system that is intended to benefit simulation training facilities being developed to support emerging satellite operations capabilities. The objectives of this training system are threefold: (1) to increase training fidelity by emulating applications used in satellite operations but missing from the new training facilities; (2) to provide training support tools that will present trainees with explanation and guidance as well as dynamic support in the form of agent-based performance
