Abstract

A Matlab/Simulink-based model for dynamic operation of Double Armature AC Machine S. Elia*, M. Pasquali^, G. Lobianco^, M. V. Sabene* & E. Abstract A dynamic model of the Double Armature AC Machine (DAM) is established. The dynamic equations are stated, that take into account the machine parameters as deduced from adequate FEM analyses. A Matlab-Simulink model of the machine is shown; the results of dynamic simulations are compared with the results of the experimental tests, allowing to appreciate the reliability and the accuracy of the proposed method. 1 Introduction This paper establishes a dynamic model for the three-phase doubly fed machine (in the following DAM, Double Armature AC Machine). The model of the machine, as well as that of the converter, has been realized by means of the program Matlab and with its tool-box Simulink.
