Abstract

Thermo-elastic contact and heat transfer between plates and shells through the heat conducting layer V.V. Zozulyaand M Aguilar C.f . 97200, Abstract The problem of unilateral contact of plates and shell through the heat-conducting layer is formulated. The approach consists in considering a change of layer thickness in the process of the plates and shells deformation. Three dimensional equations of thermoelasticity and heat coduction are expanded into a polynomial Legendre series in terms of the thickness. The equations of A-th approximations have been obtained and the first-approximations equations have been studied in detail. Numerical examples of the unilateral contact of plates through the heat-conducting layer are considered. 3-D formulation We consider two elastic homogeneous isotropic bodies situated in an initial, undeformed state in a distance HQ apart (Fig. 1). Here V" is the volume occupied by ffi" . The body boundary may be presente
