Abstract

Experimental verification of 3D flow- dynamic computer code to be used for environmental pollution control F. Patania*, G. Siracusa^, A. Gagliano^ Engineering Faculty of Catania University: ^Applied Physic Institute ^Physical and Chemical Methodological Department for Engineering Abstract This paper shows results of the survey carried out in the industrial area of Priolo (Italy) in order to both value air pollution and to test reliability of implementation, worked out by the authors, of 3D computer code used for environmental control. The survey has been carried out in the area between ISAB-ERG petrochemical plant and Belvedere country town. Input data characterising the investigated area has been carried out by: analysis of pollutant emissions coming from the chimney stack of the petrochemical plant, that is pollution sources and analysis of meteorological features of atmosphere above the area throughout the year, i.e.: average air temperature
