Abstract
Different tools and methods are currently being used in order to accelerate the urban transition towards carbon neutrality. One of these methods is the living lab approach which are spaces centred on the end user, which works as catalysts for open innovation and knowledge exchange in which the quadruple helix co-creates, tests and experiments new products, ideas, strategies, solutions, etc. in real life settings. One of the major problems encountered in living labs is getting the involvement and engagement of the agents. Therefore, it is necessary to look for ways to achieve greater awareness and involvement of all the actors. This study presents a proposal of a tool to use in the living lab approach to promote and develop sustainable mobility in cities in a participatory way, raising awareness, engaging and involving all local stakeholders (quadruple helix). It also addresses the challenges, problems and solutions found. The process of defining and creating the tool is presented, along with the final outcome. The results of the testing phase with a testing group at the Swiss Museum of Transport are presented, which have been enabled to detect issues to be improved and limitations of the tool. Data flow and dynamics have been validated as satisfactory, making it useful for the objectives set: awareness, involvement, self-reflection, co-design and support for researchers in their tasks of analysing and evaluating mobility strategies, taking into account the behaviour of the agents. This not only activates agents in the transition to more sustainable mobility but also supports decision-makers in developing strategies from the local level, taking into account the needs and expectations of local agents and involving them from the outset.
