Abstract

East Japan Railway Company (EJR) has progressed the development of next generation commuter vehicles called AC-Train (Advance Commuter Train). Main goals of the development are the improvement of passenger service, the reliability, the improvement of transport and the decrease of lifecycle cost. The big system change of the vehicle structure is carried out to realize these. And the various functions of the vehicles are improved by making use of IT. This paper reports the affairs of the latest test vehicle.
