Abstract

Object deformations of railway turnouts are undesirable. Turnouts and crossings have to be maintained in the railway yard according to the designed state. Differences between the designed state and real object position are obtained by geodetic surveys. Spatial shape information of the turnouts yard is saved in the created information system. The owner of railway division will have information about its turnouts. This information system includes the designed state or optimised state, which is presented by the mathematical model of the turnout yard and by particular control measurements of real state. By comparing the survey values with the mathematical model data the values turnout deformations are obtained and consequently the structures are turned into the designed state. The evaluation of the survey reliability depending upon the conclusive spatial shifts of the main points of turnouts is a part of the survey data processing. The mathematical model of the turnouts and particular functions for data processing are created in AutoCAD. The final numerical and graphical information is the ground for the maintenance of the railway turnouts and crossings. Continuity and safety of the railway transport is closely connected with the fixed built-in components of the railroad yard. The project documentation contains their initial design.
