Abstract

The optimization of vehicle use within tramc systems is an irremissible task for an economic operation. Especially for expensive high-speed rail systems like the ICE in Germany, a computer-aided management system to plan the rostering and maintaining of vehicles should be utilized. In case of disturbances and vehicle faults during real operation, it is nec- essary to reorganize the planned vehicle-schedule quickly. The new roster- plan has, of course, to reassign every train service. But most difficult is, that all operational and technical conditions have to be considered in the new schedule, especially the running kilometers of a single vehicle before a compulsary maintenance stop in a depot, and of course the capacity of the depot, At the IVE the management system DI
