Abstract This paper presents a technique to treat gravitational body loading in three dimensional elasticity problems using the Method of Fundamental Solution. The presented method is based on deriving new set of particular solution corresponding to such loading. The expressions for these particular solutions are derived and given explicitly. Two examples are tested using this formulationand their results confirm the validity of the presented technique. 1 Introduction Among the numerical methods used nowadays, the BEM proved to be efficient and less expensive in the computing lime.
