Abstract

Planning, monitoring and evaluating software tests using TESTPROFI, a multimedia information system N. Bauerjee Isardata GmbH, D-82515 Wolfratshausen, Germany ABSTRACT TESTPROFI is a multimedia information system used for structuring software test processes and designing test cases conforming to various standards and quality assurance guidelines. In addition to test plans, test guidelines and test cases, the TESTPROFI data base also stores the recorded tests and test protocols. Using a tool like TESTPROFI in conjunction with other tools for test data generation, test data capture and replay, and configuration management the overall quality of software developed can be substantially improved through methodical, efficient as well as economic testing in all phases of software production.
