Abstract

This paper focuses on the results of EURESCOM project P227 in the area of Software Quality Assurance. This project has produced Recommendations for Quality Assurance for Telecommunication Software. These recommendations can be used as a basis to enable the European Public Network Operators (PNOs) to establish a software Quality Management System (QMS). The QMS would ensure and enhance the quality of telecommunication software purchased by the operators. The recommendations could form the basis of a standard for software quality assurance (either by ISO, ETSI or ITU) and can be adapted by each individual purchaser of software. It fulfils the need of
