Abstract

In the paper the authors present the application HAPN integrated into CAD environment designed to calculate flow – pressure conditions in hot water pipe transmission systems. The bases of presented application are numerical modules HAPN/HW (Hydraulic Analysis of Pipe Networks I Hot Water). Because of large extensions of hot water and gas pipe networks the LTM method (Linear Theory Method) and the method of solving the Sparse matrix are used for linearisation and solution of the system of non-linear equations. The paper also discusses about the linking of data and results with geographical information system (GIS). Developed SQL communication interface enables on-line exchange of data attributes with corporate information systems, connection to SCADA and GIS.
