Abstract

Modelling air pollution in an industrial area using GIS as an assessment tool E. Puliafito\ M. Guevara & C. This system is used to evaluate the emission-immission patterns due to its ability to handle spatial data, source inventories, measurements and meteorology data. To evaluate the industrial park environmental data was gathered from a) continuous monitoring of NOx, Og, CO and total particles (TSP) at different sites in the area, b) several, fixed stations of 24 h measurements of NOx, SOi, TSP and Pb, c) samples of particulate matter using a high volume pump at several measuring points, d) local meteorology and e) an emission inventory of the industrial park. The results of the model for different conditions wil
