Abstract

To study concentration fluctuations a series of dispersion experiments was conducted during the summer of 1992 in Denmark. Smoke and SF& were released simultaneously at the top of a 21-m mast. SF^ ground-level half-hour mean concentrations were measured. A backscatter mini-LIDAR system was operated simultaneously to obtain crosswind concentration profiles of the smoke plume. The concentration profiles are analyzed regarding fluctuation intensities i(y,z). At several selected positions in the plume the cumulative distribution functi
