Abstract

Method for the development of environmental indices is described in the article. This method called "method of response functions" (MRF) has been used already successfully for the creation of the models of various ecological processes. A new application of the well- known method is proposed for the development of environmental indices. The method allows to present the state of the environment in the form of environmental indices acceptable for decision-making. 1.
