Abstract

This article describes the use of a code for the dynamic analysis of a multi-body system, during the realisation of a device for moving completely inert people. The device, once made, allows a person to be moved from a sitting position to an upright position with the help of just one operator. The method used for the analysis proved advantageous when compared to empirical methods used in developing machines of this type which interact with people. 1 Introduction Assistance to completely inert people is particularly difficult when they have to be moved.
