Abstract

Some recent advances in object oriented programming techniques and in programming languages in particular, the object oriented programming language Java™ (Sun Microsystems, Inc.) are used to produce a set of objects that comprise the hip-joint geometry (points, axes, profiles, distances, angles), objects that describe the forces and the stress distribution in the hip-joint articular surface (forces, stress), as well as objects that can be manipulated by using Drag and Drop operations in order to simulate changes in the hip-joint geometry (femoral head, femoral neck, greater trochanter and lower part of the
