Contribution to the study of restoration of the Museum of the fine arts of Algiers, Algeria M. A. Abstract The work presented consists of a study of restoration of the Museum of the fine arts of Algiers town (Algeria). This majestic building, built on the cliffs of El- Harnma, was inaugurated in May 1930, to mark the centenary of colonisation. First of all, an identification of the established has been done by a description of the current state of the museum and its environment. An inventory of degradations was done as well as an outline of factors of urbanisation and architectural characteristics. Then, a structural study was made by using software SAP 90. A global study of subjacent soils stability was done. The stability of the slopes was verified using PETAL-LCPC software.
