Abstract

In recent years, image processing is actively used in the industry, and hopes run high in its use for railroad purposes. One example is that, in indoor space, the use of lamps and similar equipment to secure a good enough environment allows secure images to be obtained. For this reason, image processing is actually being put to practical use. However, to establish and put to practical use a technique for recognizing the image of an obstacle on a railroad crossing and other outdoor conditions, there still remain many problems to be resolved. This study aims to enable recognition of obstacles on a railroad crossing using image processing, and consisted of a continuous operation of all operations ranging from development of image processing algorithms
