Head of the Division Research and Development in transport at the European Commission Through the realization and development of integrated transport research programmes, the Commission wants to sustain the progress of Community Transport Policy by the definition and application of new technological solutions, which are able to increase transport competitiveness, interoperability and safety within the Community and which, at the same time, are able to reduce the effects of transport on the environment.
