Abstract

This paper presents the fragility curves for a steel Pony Truss bridge with a 25 meter span, taking into account the following events: seismic actions, the real trucks that cross the bridge and the standard A.A.S.H.T.O. trucks. The purpose is to show the real vulnerability of a steel truss bridge. 1 Introduction Bridges are important structures for the community and everyone believes they must be completely safe. Since 1930, bridge analysis and design have undergone major changes and are a source of uncertainty. The changes within the new codes bring to light failures of these structures.
