Abstract

More and more, building owners ask engineers to design their structures also for hazard loadings. These loadings are caused by explosion or impact, for example, and produce high pressures in the kilobar region within mir- coseconds. In that topic, design tasks are a great challenge for engineers in practice as well as for researchers. Structural dynamics methods are well known but insufficient for such highly dynamic loadings. Thus, Hy- drocodes are being applied. Reliability investigations show the capability of the numerical tool used. Appropriate constitutive laws enable the non- linear rate-dependent behaviour and the local damage behaviour. A recently developed material model for concrete based on macromec
