Abstract

This paper deals with new railway vehicles for long distance and suburban service, with crashworthy design features, designed and manufactured by Costaferroviaria Company (Italy). In the recent years the improvement of the railway vehicle crashworthiness has became a more important requirement for vehicles design, particularly for driving vehicles.
