Abstract

Modelling and simulating earthquake accelerograms using strong motion data from the Istanbul, Turkey region K.L. Findell. H.U. Koylfioglu, A.§. The ARM A parameters and the other parameters used in the stationary transfor- mation are related to physical parameters (e.g., magnitude, distance to epicenter, depth to hypo center and duration) via a regression analysis. To create simulations for a given set of physical parameters, the modelling procedure is reversed. INTRODUCTION The ultimate goal of this research is to obtain simulations of earthquake ground motions for the Istanbul, Turkey region that are statistically similar to the recorded motions from th
