Abstract

This study is intended to examine the setting up of alternative sea transport services for passangers in coastal metropolitan areas. Comparison between land and sea transport will be carried on the basis of: * production costs (for the whole community and not for the individual user) in each different transport mode; • fares, speed and comfort offered to users.
