Abstract

The analysis of the interaction between human beings and low frequency electric and magnetic fields is an important topic for the determination of possible biological effects. In order to evaluate the amplitude of the induced currents, a boundary element model has been worked out. The numerical results have been first compared with analytical solutions available in the case of simple geometries. The model has been then applied to the study of 3D human models exposed to various field sources. 1 Introduction The increasing interest of the scientific community towards the analysis of possible biological effects on human beings exposed to extremely low frequency (ELF) electromagnetic fields has led, in these last years, to the development of numerou
