Abstract

This report reviews the authors' recent works on detailed numerical simula- tion of bubbly flows using the volume of fluid method, which is based on local instantaneous field equations and an interface tracking scheme. Shapes and rising velocities of single bubbles, Taylor bubbles and two bubbles in train in various stagnant liquids were calculated and compared with measured data.
