Abstract

A verification of a recently developed boundary element formulation for linearly varying material media in Poisson type problems is presented. Examples illustrate the accuracy and simplicity of the new approach. Also, some novel modelling ideas concerning piecewise continuous and impermeable media are advanced 1 Introduction Recently, Shaw' presented a new formulation for finding Green's functions specifically designed to analyze potential problems occurring in heterogeneous media. Convenient boundary integral representations of such problems constitute important theoretical and practical areas in boundary element evolutio
