Abstract

In this paper, the dual representation model with hypersingularity and di- vergent series is reviewed. The Cesaro sum is applied to regularize the divergent series which occurs in the ground motion deconvolution analysis in soil dynamics. To deal with the ill-posed problem, we use the corner of the L-curve as the compromise point to determine the optimum order of the Cesaro sum, so that the high-frequency content can be suppressed instead of engineering judgement using the concept of cutoff frequency in SHAKE program.
