Abstract

The orienting of parts is one of the most sensitive tasks in automatic assembly. The various vibratory feeders are widely used to move parts from disordered heap and arrange them into predetermined orientation and position which a handling device expects. The orientation device solution is strongly related with the particularity of a certain part design. For even small part design changes, the reconstruction of orientation device is needed. In order to aid such designing or redesigning engineering process, the CAD integrated intelligent system is proposed. It uses CAD model to conceive the design characteristics and topology of a part. The interpreted and formalized part geometry is then associated to th
