Abstract

We describe a computer program that uses Artificial Intelligence (AT) techniques for an specific domain of microbiology. The domain is food microbiology for the industry. The computer program identifies the microorganisms that are present in the food This information can be used by the microbiologist of the quality control department of the food processing plant, to know if the food can be harmful to the consumer or not. The use of AI increases the efficiency (in accuracy and in time) of the quality control department, because the computer program helps the microbiologists in the selection of the techniques to performe in the samples of food, and at the end to
