Abstract

The Research and Development Directorate of EDF is in charge of the development or the procurement of numerous scientific software products, most of them middle sized to large scale software. It must be pointed out that people involved are not computer science graduated, but are mostly mechanics, hydraulics or electric transmissions engineers; it implies that software engineering techniques are not their first motivation when designing or writing some , bee of software.
