Near Wall Considerations In Turbulence Model

This paper presents the extension of the Cabot’s Wall Function originally for large eddy simulation (LES) to the turbulence closure models. The computed results are compared with well-documented experimental data and discussed. Despite some deviations in the results which still occur in some cases, the model with Cabot’s Wall Function significantly reduces the computing resources (CPU & storage) needed; and in most cases with improvement in accuracy.
