Abstract

This paper presents an application of the boundary element method to analysis of the coupled electric and thermal field problems in conducting bodies. A non- linear dependence on a temperature and a potential of the electric conductivity and dependence of the thermal conductivity from temperature is taken into ac- count. The approach is based on Kirchhoff s transformation and numerical inte- gration of domain terms. 1 Introduction The determination of the electric potential and current density distribution in materials with electric conductivity dependent on problem variables is very important for the calculation and performance of many technical pro- cesses. The existence of the electric field in a conducting medium causes the prese
