Abstract

This paper describes an interface to a finite element package which allows remote batch access via e-mail. Although the interface was specifically implemented for the FEM code ELFIN, developed at the University of Catania for electromagnetic CAD research, it can easily be adapted to other packages in the area of electrical engineering. 1 Introduction User interfaces to finite element packages are classically of two types: interactive and batch.
