Abstract

Field simulation for land displacements by a three-dimensional finite element model H.D. Yeh," R.H. Lu/ G.T. A three-dimensional Galerkin finite element model, which coupled equations of force balance and subsurface flow, was utilized to simulate the land displacements occurring in those areas. The field simulations for parameter calibrations and predictions of land displacements were performed by the proposed model through the trial-and-error procedure. The isotropic/anisotropic properties of permeability and elasticity were taken into consideration in the simulation. The maximum cumulative sub
