Abstract

Air samples of the atmospheric ground layer near the City of Ulm, Germany, in Central Europe and in the Southwest of the US including Salt Lake City, Utah, were analysed for organic nitrates. 43 alkyl mononitrates (C6-Ci3>, 24 alkyl dinitrates (Cj-Ce), 19 hydroxy alkyl nitrates (C:^), benzyl nitrate and 5 terpene nitrates have been identified.
