Abstract

The eddy diffusion coefficients are important parameters of the mathematical models for study of air pollution in atmosphere. These coefficients depend on many factors. Therefore, the interpretation of direct measurements of the diffusivities is very difficult and not unique. The goal of this study is to develop the method of indirect determination of the diffusivity by the solution of the inverse problem. Two methods for minimisation of the discrepancy-functional were applied. They are the generalised method of Newton and the stochastic approximation method. The stochastic approximation method provides the convergence of the iteration process in wide ra
