Abstract

This paper proposes a Sustainable transportation - traffic system for the city of Buenos Aires. (TTSBA). By means of its implementation, the inhabitants of the city will be benefited by a rational organization of the transportation - traffic means based on a systematic planning of the urban structure. The most important element of that system consists on a peripheral elevated train, constructed on the present track of an existing circumvallation avenue. This train system will act as a transferring medium that will collect the different kind of transport arriving to the city from the surrounding suburbia and as a containing barrier against the every-day car invasion.
