Abstract

Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) takes another step towards contributing to the reaching of the "Agenda 21" goals. Those objectives are the satisfaction of basic needs and raise population life level, by protecting and managing ecosystems for a safer and more prosperous future. For that purpose CSN made an association with Brazilian Foundation for the Sustainable Development, Rio de Janeiro State University and municipal government of Barra do Pirai, Barra Mansa, Pinheiral, Pirai, Porto Real, Quatis e Volta Redonda for the development of the project Land Management of the Mid South Paraiba River
