Abstract

Cities have been generating an enormous amount of trash, and its proper disposal has become a major problem for them. Waste recycling represents one way to reduce this problem. This paper explains why the sustainable city will have to recycle the highest possible amount of waste by presenting not only the problems related to waste disposal in urban areas, but also in what way and to what degree recycling can prevent and reduce these problems.
