Abstract

Estimate of Biogenic Emissions in the Lombardy Region A contribution to subproject LOOP M.G. Longoni and G Maffeis "GruppoModellisticaRegioneLombardia", P.M.I.P. - U.S.S.L. n. 7, ViaAppiani 12, Bosisio Parini (Lc), Italy Introduction This work is about a methodology to estimate isoprene and monoterpene emissions coming from vegetation in the Lombardy territory. The proposed methodology is a "bottom-up" one. Starting from local data, at a municipality level, emissions have been estimated for the whole of Lombardy. Changing the different land-use species assignments and the other site-specific inputs, it is possible to apply this methodology to any area. The NMVOC pollutants considered in this work are isoprene and monoterpenes because, among the ones emitted in great quantity, they have a residential time in the atmosphere lower than the other biogenic NMVOC such as aldh
