Tinarelli* 'ENEL SfU - Area Ambiente, via Reggio Emilia 39, 20090 Segrate, Milan, Italy *ENVFTECHS.r.L, Cor so della Vittoria 2/F, 28100 Novara, Italy Introduction This work deals with the preliminary results carried out by a modelling system still under development which is capable of describing correctly the pollutant dispersion at a coastal site. This system is being applied to a NW Italian site along the Mediterranean coast (Fig. 1), where a thermal power plant is located near to the town of Savona and close to very complex orography.
