Abstract

Generation of an Emission Data Base for Europe 1994 A contribution to subproject GENEMIS B Wickert, U. Schwarz, P. Blank, Ch. John, J. Kuhlwein, A. Obermeier and R. Friedrich IER - University of Stuttgart, Hefibruhlstrafie 49a, 70565 Stuttgart, Germany Objectives Main objective of this project is the development and application of methods and models to build up an European emission data base for the year 1994. In a second step these emission data will be spatially and temporally disaggregated to be used as an adequate input for mesoscale atmospheric chemistry transport models. The determination of uncertainties of the emission calculations will make an important contribution to the data quality assessment. The requirements for a European emission data to be used for atmospheric models are: * pollutants: SO:, NOx, VOC (components, species), CO, NHg; * variable output geometry/resolution; * variable temporal resolution (hourly, daily,
