Abstract

Measured and Modelled Ozone Deposition to Three Different Ecosystems in Finland A contribution to subproject BIATEX-2 J.-P. Tuovinen, M. Aurela and T. Laurila Finnish Meteorological Institute, Sahaajankatu 20 E, FIN-008 10 Helsinki, Finland Introduction Removal due to atmosphere-biosphere interaction constitutes a major loss term in the mass budget of tropospheric ozone. Generalised parametrisation schemes (e.g. Wesely, 1989; Erisman et al., 1994) are widely employed to incorporate this boundary condition in photochemical transport models and to estimate surface fluxes by the inferential method. For testing and improving the models, there is a continuous need for further observations enhancing the range of surface types and environmental conditions encompassed. We present results from micrometeorological campaigns carried out by the Finnish Meteorological Institute to study ozone fluxes to different terrestrial ecosyst
