Angeletti European Commission, Directorate General XII, Science, Research and Development, 200, rue de la Loi, 1049 Brussels, Belgium Introduction The European Commission (EC) within the Environment and Climate Programme related to the 4th R&D Framework Programme (FP) 1994-1998, supports scientific research activities on all aspects of environmental research and particularly on the natural environment, environmental quality and global change, where research on tropospheric physics and chemistry is included.
