Abstract

The purpose of this paper was to show a Finite Element Simulation of a dental implant system in order to present the response behaviour of these mechanical parts towards external forces in terms of stress - strain mapping. Dental implant technique plays an outstanding role when patients need tooth restoration treatment. Sometimes this treatment may be necessary due to accidents, disease or just because of people age or for aesthetic reasons. From the engineering point of view, the above mentioned implants are considered high performance structure. It should also be taken into account that there are complementary parts which are added once the implant has been placed into the host bone.
