Abstract

Analysis of moving and fixed autoblock systems for Korean high speed railway J-D Lee, J-H Lee, C-H Cho, P-G Jeong, K-H Kim, Y-J Kim High-Speed Railways T.F.T., Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, Korea Abstract Railway authorities of several countries are studying new autoblock system - Moving Autoblock System(MAS). As the efficiency of MAS has already been verified through various studies, especially in a line with different types of travelling trains, MAS will be adapted as autoblock system in some countries to increase their line capacity. The efficiencies of MAS and Fixed Autoblock System(FAS) for Korean high speed line with two different train model are analyzed by computer simulation. The results show that MAS is more efficient than FAS in the line capacity. In this paper, only braking distance of two trains is considered. All the other factors will be considered in the next^phase. 1 Introduction As the train speed is increasing, a high-level control system su
