Abstract

Development of efficient operational control using object representation T.Takimoto Central Japan Railway Co., Japan Abstract Central Japan Railway Co. (JR Central) introduced an epoch-making PRC (Programmed Route Control System) to Tokaido main line of Shizuoka district. PRC is a system to control signal based on train traffic diagram. We developed a function to change control order of trains at all stations inside PRC's management section with one operation, by operating train lines with a mouse in the train traffic diagram displaying for a screen. When train traffic is disordered, a train traffic manager changes train traffic data as using an equipment called GD (Graphic Display for operation arrangement use). If he used a conventional PRC, he had to change order by whether inputting changed timetable every station or not, changing running order data every station.
