Abstract

Software for export of train running times from BIS via SIMON/RTT to TRAINPLAN M. Wahlborg Banverket Swedish National Rail Administration, Infrastructure Management Department Abstract The Swedish National Rail Administration (Banverket) and The Swedish Rail Traffic Administration (Tagtrafikledningen) have started a project to export an infrastructure model form BIS to SIMON/RTT and Trainplan, and to export running time calculations from SIMON/RTT to Trainplan. The main tasks of Phase 1 of the project from June 1999 to March 2000 were as follows; 1. To develop a software prototype, 2. To analyse existing infrastructure and running time calculation models and 3. To describe the working process. The project is planning a second phase timed to run from April 2000 to October 2001 and resulting in the Swedish national timetable for the year 2002.
